Sheep without a Shepherd

When he (Jesus) saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Matthew 9: 36

It has been a good many months now that I have been putting daily posts on Facebook about things relating to God, taken from my Bible, and devotional books. Lately, I have been surprised at the amount of interaction that I have been having with people, by email, and phone conversations, as a direct result of the posts.
Some of the things I have encountered in my recent conversations are: anxiety, fear, depression, hopelessness, anger, deception, self-righteousness, and broken relationships.
Jesus had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. If anyone has really come to know Christ, they will have compassion as well. Jesus came to be the Shepherd, the One who could show people how to avoid life’s pitfalls.
Question; why be a sheep without a shepherd? Jesus said ”I am the Way” You don’t believe that? Is there any nice way to tell you that YOU are mistaken about that? You should take a second look.
Jesus won’t twist your arm and make you follow him. You can choose to join him, or stay behind. But remember, when your life starts to cave in, or you see your friends and neighbours lives falling apart at the seams, no one needs to go through life without a Shepherd. Jesus says: Follow Me. I am the way. I am Truth. I am Life. No one comes to God the Father except through me. Your choice.Brayden&Grampy
